Bid Review Service

Having an effective way of reviewing your bid is a key part of the tender/bid writing process.

If you are tendering to win a public sector contract, you will often be competing against many other bidders – with the highest scoring tender usually winning.

In order to maximise your score, it is important to review your bid – so that you get accurate, relevant, objective feedback on how to improve it. Getting high-quality feedback isn’t easy – especially for smaller organisations. Our Tender Review Service provides you with an objective assessment of your bid, and recommendations for how to improve it.

The work is carried out by our Procurement Consultant Mark Lloyd. Mark brings 20 years of procurement experience from both the public and private sectors, and is qualified with the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).

How it works

Get in touch with us as soon as possible if you think you have a tender you would like us to review (ideally 2 weeks in advance). Let us know the approximate date you would want the review to take place.  Let us know which type you review you want – a Standard Tender Review, an Enhanced Tender Review or our  Enhanced Tender Review and One-to-one meeting.

We will confirm our capacity to do the work, the timescale for delivery of the report (usually 48 hours after receipt of the draft tender) and confirm the price. You email us the draft bid for the agreed date. We send you the review within 48 hours.


1.  Standard Tender Review

Price: £800 plus VAT

What you get:   A 4-page review that will include a general overview of the bid, feedback on key topics (e.g. Compliance, Responsiveness, Added Value), Recommendations for Improvement.

2.  Enhanced Tender Review

Price: £1000 plus VAT

What you get: Option 1 plus detailed comments and suggestions written using the “Track Changes” feature of Word alongside relevant areas in your draft tender document. The number of comments can typically range from 60 and 100.

3.  Enhanced Tender Review and One-to-one meeting

Price: £1,300 plus VAT

What you get: Option 2 plus 3-hour meeting with our Senior Procurement Consultant, Mark Lloyd, to talk through the feedback in detail and discuss improvements to your tender. Please note travel costs are charged at HMRC rates for companies outside Nottingham.


Once you have confirmed you wish to proceed, we will send you an invoice for the review fee. Once this is paid your review date will be confirmed.
