Planning ahead

Posted on: June 28th, 2016 by Dewi Hughes

People often try to fit tender writing around their day job. As a result writing gets left until the deadline is looming, and ends up being done late at night. Pressure then kicks in, further reducing the ability to think clearly. No wonder many people hate bid writing!

A key part of producing a strong bid is to use good project management skills to make sure it all comes together well. This involves producing a simple time plan of what needs to happen when, and giving someone responsibility for managing it. Also, make sure there is clarity (by keeping an email record) of who is doing what by when.
